Finally about to get one. What did you pay? Would you shop at that store again?

Alto Music and VST Service seem to have the best deals. They are running between $1600-$2100 depending on which options you have installed (CD/DVD drive, internal hard drive, memory).

I would buy from both companies. You can purhase different color MPC pads from VST as well.

AmericanMusical.com slightly under 1999 missed out on the price match  . I get most of my higher priced items there due to the flexable payments.

Jahrome can you refer me to a specific person at Alto music? I would go to VST but im in L.A and I want to avoid the taxes. American musical supply is the worst place.

Not a bad price, although i got mine on a loan and was offered a brand new one for £672 inc vat. I cannot mention the shop, but i wasnt impressed with the unit. gave it back. To me the 2500 felt like a laptop and far from a genuine Akai product.

May give it another shot one day, but for now im gonna stick with all my other mpcs (and i have quite a few, even some double ups). I like setting up a couple of mpcs for different tasks, and use another for directivity, etc.

My friends at Stargate are using the 2500 at the moment, and they seem to use it for pre production work, but use the 2000xl otherwise.
