Organizing your files

Wassup? I just got my 2500 two days ago..... Lovin' it. i wanted to know wats the easiest way of saving your files. do you have separate folders for all programs, sequences and samples.....or do u have each beat in its own folder with their own sequence and samples. I have to load the sample then go load the program and then load the sequence. is there an easier or more organized way to do it?? plz help. much appreciated.

Let's see...
1. Create programs choosing your samples.
2. Save samples with program in own folder.
3. Save sequences in folder as well.

I guess that's how I would do it. It's easier to save everything together in one folder. I'm not sure but hope someone could clarify.

Could you save programs in other folders and have other samples in different folders? When you load the program with samples will the mpc be able to find the samples in other folders? The probably must be in the same folder I'm guessing.

I know what you mean about organising files, it can be a pain at first, i guess you get used to it, its easier to save samples within ur program, so tehy load with the program,

I like to create a new folder and 'save entire memory' when i save good track.

It might be a good idea to create the new folder in your computer over usb though becasue i've heard it can crash when creating a new folder within the mpc.

It means you might have a lot of duplicate samples etc but i've got a big hard drive on in the MPC and the PC so it doesn't bother me too much.

I think this way you also save all your mixer and effects settings too
