MPC 2000XL with Adobe Audition 2.0

hey wuts goin yall...im a new memeber but i been lookin around here n readin for about 6 months now....so i was wonderin if yall can help me out....

heres the thing...

i want to be able to track out my beats from my mpc to adobe audition 2.0 thru midi...i have da m-audio uno midi interface to will help? if so can anybody run me down thru da steps to track out from mpc aa 2.0? lets say i have a beat ready to go in my mpc...im talkin 6 sequences wit about 6-7 tracks in each sequence...lets say i wanna load da first sequence in my comp, how will i set up adobe n my mpc in order to do it thru midi?

AA 1.5 didn't support asio, check to see if the new version has it. If so then you should be able to seperately track out your mpc tracks. Ie. soundcard with mulitple in/outs tracked into AA.

I've messed with the 1.5 but not the new one yet..

i checked and it does support ASIO...so now is it possible for me to be able to track out my beats using MIDI from my mpc to aa 2.0??? if so how do i hook everything up n get it ready to track out?? thanks again..

via asio your soundcard inputs will show up as choices in each track in AA.
ie. you can choose what soundcard input goes to what track. easy.
you'll need to midi your mpc to you soundcard, setup/config AA to logically see that midi input on your soundcard that your mpc is connected to.

MPC2kxl MIDI settings are as follows (generate MTC):
Shift + 9
MIDI SYNC OUT (A)
Frame Rate 25 (for CEP/AA) *some will argue 30 but I've found 25 to work better than 30 did even though 30 is the U.S. standard.
Send MMC ON

CEP/AA MIDI settings are as follows (trigger from MTC):
F6 – Midi trigger enable
F7 – SMTPE Slave enbable

sorry for not lookin at those link i aint notice em till after u told me...newbie mistake wut can i say...but i pretty much get da whole thing but one more question if u dont mind...wut soundcard do u recommend???do i just need a left n right stereo input on my sound card for my pc? or is more complicated? thanks again lampdog...1

left and right inputs is basically all you need.

NOW, if you plan on getting better quality, more tracks recorded simultanaeously then that's a different story.

I have a digi001 going into my pc into vegas software multitracker.

so u track out ur beats from ur mpc into da 001 rack into ur PC?

yes - main outs cause I don't have 8 outs.

I've used 8outs on my friends 2kxl with the same setup
(I built his computer to model mine). But yes, that's how you'd do it..
