LOOPING

Is there a way....any possible way that i can loop a sample without having to leave my finger on the pad? I want to be able to just touch the pad and let it loop by itself.

program it in!

By programming it ...do you mean setting it on note on/one shot? Im not too sure how to do that.

he probably means,

just engage the record mode and enter that note into your looping sequence. then it will keep playing.

Hit Program_window ,then find sample in program ,highlight sample hit window make sure it says One shot, hit the pad when ready to record.

wouldn't that mean that i would have to press play instead of the pad itself?

i haven't tried this on the mpc yet, but a sustain pedal might be able to keep a looping sample going from a single press, but then every other sample you press will be sustained also.

someone correct me if I'm wrong, i know other samplers that i've used can use the sustain for looping (as long as the pedal is down), but i'm not near my mpc at the moment to check this.
