sliders

i cant get sounds i have sampled in to my mpc to be filtered using the slider bars. is it only the preset sounds you can filter, or am i being dumb again??

wow, he even gave a page number! this gives me an idea - i think i'm gonna print out a table of contents and post it next to my internet computer so i can do the same thing more effectively.

Good idea, except that the table of contents is not in sync with the actual pages in the PDF.
For example page 47 should contain info on how to "Sync with the MPC 1000 as the master", but if you jump to page 47 in the PDF you have the begining of chapter 6 which covers song mode.
