Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I was watching a video tutorial someone posted and he was using the zone function to chop the sample. My question is can you assign each zone to a pad? That would be alot easier than the way I do it. I'll take all the help I can get. Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback but it really doesn't tell me if I could assign the zones to the pads so if anyone knows I would appreciate it.

im not an expert but i think u can. jus get the zones u want in the right place, press edit, should say slice sound?create new program?do yes if u wanna send each zone to a new pad, but this will replace any sounds already on those sounds. or no to slice the sound so that u can load it up from program, to whatever pads u want. i hope this helps, but i may be wrong!

If you follow the link I posted you will see that when you create 16 zones it will create a new program and if you want after that you can arrange them how ever your heart desires.........easy as pie
