i searched but nothing found, so can anyone tell me why my drum sounds changes when i layer them? i use mpc2500. if i layer, for instance, 3 snare sounds and record them over sample. then i push the play button, snare sounds different than when i recorded it. some of hits may sound right but some doesnt, i hope that you understood.

i'd appreciate if someone helped.

do you mean that, if you trigger the same sample a bunch of times quickly in a row, the sound will vary from hit to hit?

probably you are noticing phasing due to the machine being NOT sample-accurate on playback.

i did a similar thread and discussed this problem in a thread awhile ago-- search for 'phasing' 'layer' and 'accurate' and you will probably find.. i think it was the 2500 forum.

did you layer them by just playing one over the next or did you actually go into the sample edit page and layer them?

when layering drums its better to do it in a daw that way u can mix and compress the layered drums properly and add tone if u need def do it in a daw

i did the snare sound in sample edit page, yes. i think sleepersriddle explained enough for me. now i just resample my snare so it's sound doesn't change.
