I just purchased my 2500 (my first mpc) and i was wondering can this be done? and if so will it free up RAM so i can load more samples in?

mode, load, then hit the delete demo sounds button

There is no 'delete demo sounds' button. You just have to turn off the auto load function. I dont remember off the top of my head how to do it but search these forums or dig into the manual.
