right, iv been savin for a while and got £800. i really want the 2500, but i could just g out and buy a 1000 and the extra ram... i'l have enough for the 2500 by next pay day, what shall i do guys?.. the main reason i like the 2500 is from seeing a guy mess with chop shop, that looks really cool and i hate the blue/red coulor of the 1000 lol.

well if you have the money now for a 1k and can't wait until your next pay daym then go get the 1000. (btw, the 1000 is now being sold in black. no more red/blue) but if you can wait another week or so, then just do that so you can get the 2500.

if it were me and i really wanted the 2500, waiting for another pay day is not going to kill me and i would wait. i've waited this long......

also, chop shop has (from what i've seen) only one feature over the 1000 slice feature which is the ability to chop a sample by hit points. they both can chop in equal parts. but to me, chop shop is not a selling point for me.

I got my 2500 last week, still figuring it out. I have to say the real time audio recording function is really handy for bouncing in synth lines from external midi gear.

Ive been using 2000xl's for ages - could live without swivel screens too!

Go for the 2500 otherwise you'll just end up wishing you had waited!

you can afford the 2500 right now. Just call Digital Village www.dv247.com and they should do it for £790. Forget the 1000, you'll be feeling like you've made the wrong choice for months to come

I accept paypal

I had my doubts too but i just called them and asked if they would do it for £800 after someone on here told me they got theirs at that price. They said no problem, went down there to pick it up and the guy said they were actually doing it for £790!

That was Digital Village Birmingham

wait for the 2500, its just nicer lol, and theres much better reasons than the chopshop. oh and about you getting ram etc, i got my ram and my hard drive for £40, kingston ram £22, and 20gb hard drive for £20. unless u want the official ram of course, theres a thread on here somewhere you can read about using different ram brands.

I know it is in the MPC1000 forum but exactly the same applys for the 1000 and 2500 when it comes to hard drives, RAM and compact flash cards compatability.
