Yep, it's not bad to start with, you can get stuff done with it but you just have to transfer back and forth between the pc a lot.

Why not go for a hard drive instead? You can get a 40gb hard drive for roughly the same price as a 1gb CF card.

If it's staying in your studio then i'd defo go with the hd, but if you're going to be transferring a lot of stuff back and forth between someone elses mpc then go CF

lol loads of threads turn out like this but I v got a 40gb hd would definately reccomend as a first additional purchase for your MPC, either a hard drive or the RAM expansion. then maybe a CF card at a later date

Tell you what, they are about 1100 GBP over here, though I don't know the difference in taxes...

i doubt i'l bother with a harddrive for it, i wouldnt have a clue how to instal it, the mp will stay in my bedroom setup next to my pc so i'l prob just get the ram and a bigger cf card first.

fair enough, although its well easy to put in, literally just screwing it in and yor done. i cud email u instructions or somin. have to say tho i agree with spires:)
