.wav file transfer question

sorry im a newb and i got a quick question

i bought a sample cd in .wav format. i insert it into my PC with my mpc 1000 hooked up to my computer through the USB. I try to send the sample sounds to the compact flash but i guess im doing it wrong because it tells me "please insert a drive into drive h" and itll sometimes tell me drive G.

can anyone please help me out? i need to know how to send samples on the .wv disk to my mpc

what OS is running on your PC?
Make sure you are trying to access the right drive, not a CD-Rom or DVD-Rom drives. It is impossible to get that message (please insert a disc into drive h) when accessing a CF card reader. The CF card IS the drive. So either you see the drive tith what is on it, or you don't see the drive letter at all.
