mpc technical question

situation:

My keyboard is midi connected with my mpc2000, so I play on my keyboard and it record as a track on my mpc. But when I play on the keyboard sometimes i press notes that are assigned to a sound on my mpc (like a snare,bass drum,etc) so this sound is record too on the track... :(

can I just disable that "function" ??

You need to change the DRUM designation on your track information to just MIDI. If you do that you will be fine.

change Drum to MIDI only and turn your PROGRAM to off.

i cant change to midi, the only choices I have : 1A,1B,2A,2B,etc !!!

Move the cursor over one position to the left so that DRUM is highlighted... then switch to midi. You'll be aiight.

lol....this IS the midi option.

1A refers to MIDI channel 1 on the MIDI A output; 2A refers to MIDI channel 2 and so on....

1B refers to MIDI channel 1 on the MIDI B output; 2B refers to MIDI channel 2 and so on (you therefore hav a total of 32 MIDI channels!)

Leave these settings on and turn your PROGRAM to off otherwise you'll be activating both MIDI and the internal programs.
