AUTO CHROMATIC ASSIGNMENT QUEST..

I did the auto chromatic assignment for a sample that i laid out on all my pads. I have my mpc hooked to my midi controller. when i play the sample on my midi controller keyboard, the notes dont change, the sample only gets faster. How do i set it up so that the sample doesnt get faster and only the notes change? thanks...

autochro doesnt work like that.

you can try putting in loop points like jacpot(?) was doing in the throw your fantom/blah/blaher out the window thread but thats as close as it gets.


question for those that have done this, if you put the loop points in the original sample then auto chrom it, dose it keep the loop points in every note ar do you have to redo it on each pad?

Good question. I usually loop some pads after so I couldnt tell u

i have the edirol 61 key midi controller keyboard

well, i know my 5k sampler lets you throw a sample into it and play it at different notes...but thats if you have another sampler i guess.

as far as the mpc goes, i dont think it works like that...

yeah, autochrom is not giving you true notes. its just pitching your sample up/down by 10 on each pad or midi controller key.

if you loop the sample before autochrom then they will all be looped. thats how i do a lot of my basslines.

thanks. i hardly get any time to work on music now that i've got all thesse responibilites [child, career, ect]. every little trick and time saver helps.

yo smoov.... how u like the 5k? does it got timestretch and is it good? is it realtime? whats some shlt u realy like about it...
