I'm old school. I don't think that you should buy a sample cd full of hip hop samples and drums, make beats with this and call your self a beat maker. Do you guys agree?
I think the only way, or at least the right way, is to get some turntables, buy some old records, pay your dues, listen out for great samples, and then sample. Once you have your samples, make beats.
What do you guys think?
A lot of these younger kids don't see a problem with buying hip hop sample cd's that already have kits and one shots on them. They don't want to pay their dues. They want to be Pete Rock overnight. What's up with that?

This guy wanted to argue with me forever about buying sample cd's instead of making your own samples.
