microtech pcd 47-b "
i copped one of these from scsi samplers . it was like 90 bucks, comes in a case /power supply and also has a fan in it which is good if you have the money to spend, also for 30 bucks i had found one of these microtech 47b's on ebay but couldnt find the right cables and info to use it so i got tired of bs'n around and just ordered one that worked. now that i have the new card reader from scsi samplers,i figured out how to get the other one working, so for those who cant afford the 90 bucks
i am goign to post up the jumper settings and a pic hopefully tonight
so that anyone else who has looked at the 47b as an option will
have a lil more ease trying to get it to work.
just tryin to get more card reader/60 info out there for the people who are having hell with it.

MicroTech PCD-47B ?

Many previous posts about this one being a bad apple with the MPC3000 and MPC60.

Works fine on an MPC2000XL though.

Good luck.

Rohan.

PS: If you DO get the PCD-47B to work on your MPC60/MPC3000 then let us all know some specifics.

Yeah, I'm probably going to be ordering the 47b tomorrow also for my 2k Classic and maybe a 3K from scsi samplers. I don't do ebay. The guy on the website said he guarantees it to work or money back, plus I've see alot of posts of people having them work perfectly fine on their 3k's and 60's, so I feel safe.

please post your source for these, website, ebay, etc.

I'm kind of interested although I haven't had any trouble with my zips

Everyone should have a card reader with their 60. Makes everything a whole lot easier.

iv been trying to find the charger for my digi camera so i can take a few pics.
The setup the scsisamlper guy made for it is pretty nice and doesnt seem hard to make if you can round up all the parts. but yeah, i will get the jumper settings on here soon as i can.

I have a microsystems pcd 50B internal card reader that I would love to install into my mpc60II.. I am having a hell of a time finding a 26 to 50 pin cable for it though. Where is everyone getting this cable?

Regarding the Microtech PCD-50/Microtech PCD-50B.

Read this:

http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php ... 3&start=90

If you "do" get one working on your MPC60/MPC3000 then let us know:

... The hardware build date of this PCD-50/PCD-50B, it's firmware revision, jumper layout, etc.

Good luck.

Rohan.
