I was listening to Swizz Beatz, Mannie fresh and a few others drums and I was wonder how do they make there drums seem like there falling down. Like what Swizz did in that Jay Z song STOP. Also who did Mannie do those drum rolls in that track with Jezzy Lets get it. Any help on to do new styles of drums.

The way to do it is sittin right in your face. Its simple. I wont tell inless u pay me. LOL j/k. But hey i neva knew how to do it until a dude in ATL told me how to and said its one of his secrets so ima let it stay a secret. But i'll give u a hint it can be done on the 1k. Read your manual.

i don't know what you mean by falling down exactly

but experiment with shift timing. shift your hats late a couple ticks and your snares early by a couple ticks more than you did your hats. the result is a snappier, looser yet rushed feel. experiment with this in not only drums, but melodies as well, particularly basslines. it will REALLY breath life into your music, and most people here really need that.
