I've recently sold my old but trusty XL. Now the proud owner of a brand new 2500 ! I love the machine, but just bumped on to a little problem.

When I select a sample and try trimming it..........Setting a new start point and pressing Edit...Doesn't do it ? (Yes the screen is in Discard mode)

And yes of course the first thing I did was looking 4 help in the manual....

But it didn't tell anything new..........As expected...........

Is this a Bug or what ?

Can someone help a Dutch Hip-Hop producer out ?

Yes I've had this happen a couple of times myself. My work around was Normalize for best wav. Then Extract New sample. Instead of Discard.

I have had a couple of samples that would not trim the tail since the new OS and that was my work around.

You should update to the new OS. The new OS has numerous bug fixes.

The problems that a few have reported are isolated incidences. I have yet to experience the problems listed in this thread.

If anyone has a problem, give us step by step instructions on how to reproduce it. If not, it will remain an isolated incident and may never get fixed.
