does a xv-2020....

is this a good rack to buy for hip hop. I have a small space, I live on a ship. So I have a MPC 1000 with a CD walkman as a sampler and I have a laptop with a USB sound card to record everything to and a OXYGEN 8 Midi controler.

sounds are amazing...similar to the Motifs. (polished and lush)

and...you can edit patches and creat new sounds with the included sound design software.

i have the xv5050.

and i have tried the xv2020...it really is inspiring.

you can tweak any sound to how you want it.

but all the sounds you get in the box are top notch anyway.

the editing part is the icing on the cake.


the other one is the Emu proteus 1000 (which i also have)...but let me tell you that the sounds do not campare to the xv2020. the Roland sounds are much more realistic and have depth.
