8 outs problem

I just bought a m-audio firewie 1814 and I have a mpc2000 with 8 outs.
I try to connect out #1,2,3,4,5,6 in my m-audio. But only outs #3,4,5,6 are working !! So I try another way : #3,4,5,6,7,8, but same thing, only outs #3,4,5,6 are working !! I assign my pads to the right outs but nothing is working...
do my 8 outs board is broken ? or its something in the configuration of the mpc ? What can I do ?

sorry, cant help.

Use a method.
Try 1 sound on each output of the MPC, the same sound 1 output at a time to see if they work.
Then do the same with the inputs to the card 1 at a time.

can I open the mpc to see if everything is connect ? how can I proceed ?

i want to open my mpc to see if everything is ok but I dont want to break anything ..can you tell my what I have to do or not to do ? I heard aboiut static thing..can you advise me about that ?
