What's better Digi 002 or Mackie Hui?

I own the digi 002 but i am thinking of upgrading. Is the Hui better? One thing i dont like about the Digi is that it only has 32 tracks and i think the hui has moore. I am also using a pc verses a mac. Does someone know how i would interface the mackie hui to a pc. Looking for some answers soon! thanks!

With the new pro tools 4.1-(digi 002) you are limited to 32 tracks. The hui is just a soft ware controller you cant add more tracks with it. I think its aimed at pepole who dont have a software controler-like me (digi 001).I
thing you wolud interface you pc with the hui via midi, or a usb port.

look at it this way. if you can say right now you will only plan to use pro tools from now on and no other software program then the Digi 002 is better but if you want to have the option to use other programs...i would get the digi 002 rack and the mackie controler just because you can not use the digi 002 as a midi controler with other software programs. i like to use pro tools and nuendo so i have a controller that will control both. Look at it that way.
