Share your knowledge on these two classic MPCs

I know that I'm brand new to this forum, but I thought I should weigh in
since I started this thread. The statement"I choose not to do business with jews" is definitely a racist statement. In fact, that statement alone fits the very definition of what it means to be prejudice. But lighten up everybody.
I'm sure everyone here is stand up in their own way. Anyway, does anyone
know anything about the ebay seller dj dro, the one with the ' "maxed out"
mpc 3000? I saw where tictoc gave him a favorable review. Is that your old
piece he's selling

From www.gecdf.com/diversity/glossary.html :

Racism - An attitude, action or institutional structure, which subordinates a person or group because of their color. Racism involves having the power to carry out systematic discriminatory practices.

I am not "subordinating" Jews in general or this particular Jew (3001), so you're already wrong. I am choosing simply to not do business with him myself. I also do not have "the power to carry out any systematic" oppression of him. So it is not racism, it is a personal choice not to do business with him. and my choice is based on the fact that he is an a$$hole, and cheap and complains and whines too much....I didnt find out he was a Jew until later, after the transaction was done. Blame him, not me, for perpetuating a stereotype.

Again---if I prefer to only date black girls or white girls, if I choose to only buy Italian-made suits, or buy Japanese cars, is that not a personal decision I have the right to make, the same way he has the right to choose not to do business with blondes, or fat people, or Mexicans, or a$$holes?

You people have no clue what you're talking about. Racism involves oppression and a power structure set up to hold someone back from rights or opportunities, not consenting adults choosing or not choosing to do business with one another. there are plenty of other ebay sellers, Im not a monopoly, so how can my personal decision not to do business with someone be considered holding anyone back?

PS I did business with Butcher (also a Jew) and had no issues, so what does that tell you about 3001?

Wasn't this thread about Analog Japan?.....Amazing you 2.

I really like what AJ show on their site. It all looks great, but I just don't trust many peoples idea of used gear & their definition of MINT(the most abused word on Ebay). Like someone said earlier, if you live in the States, stick to that. You will be protected(somewhat) if you use Ebay, Paypal, US credit card.

I say somewhat because, I purchased an MPC3000 on Ebay and it was minor damaged & not perfect as described, but at least I didn't pay the prices of Analog Japan. I managed to fix most of what is wrong with mine, but the item was not as described. I kept it because, overall I could live with the flaws & the price was good.

Be patient, not like me, & a good MPC will come your way. If you want one you will find it.

Good luck.

Can we PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, keep this forum clear of personal disputes ? I mean damn, it's startin to sound like Romper Room around here. As far as the Jew statements, that shyt is childish, immature and all out stupid. We're supposed to be here to learn about all the cool shyt we can do as producers, share information, experiences and trade tips.. not bash the f**k outta each other with our personal issues. Not tryin to clown, but lets keep the gear 4 sale stuff in the "Gear for Sale" forum.

Finally, one thing we all should have learned by now is; if you buy stuff online, there is a certain amount of risk involved, be it damaged gear or someone taking their time giving a refund. This is the risk you take when doin business online, especially with people you don't know. I'm not callin anyone on this board a crook, but chances are only a few of us really know each other outside of this place. So y'all try and relax, and let's cut all of this unnecessary back bitin out. Just my 2 cents

peace
