just wanna know if any1 has had success insyalling the pcd 50b? am just about ready 2 fork out more money for a 47b, this flash card reader installation has already cost me over $200 & im a broke student :(

The PCD-50 is a "LUN" ( Logical Unit Number ) based unit and not a "TID" ( Target ID ) based unit.

The PCD-50 being Logical Unit Number based is not specified to work with an MPC60, MPC3000, MPC2000 or MPC2000XL as they like to work with Target ID based SCSI devices.

An MPC2000XL will be most happy with a PCD-47B.

Good luck,

Rohan.

Okay, I incorrectly bought a pcd50. $35 dollars down the tube... so what. The question I have is, is there an advantage to buying SCSI over ATAPI. I thought I read somewhere that you could not hot swap media with an ATAPI drive, but then I read a FAQ that says you can so long as the drive is ATAPI, not IDE. What is the real scoop on this?

Does anyone know the best Multi-Card reader that will work in the PCMIA slot? better yet what are you using in that slot? I bought a Multi-Card reader to fit in there from Sandisk and it didn't work... it even crashed my mpc when I tried to load from it. I have some high capacity SD cards I'd like to use so what's the best option here?
