i'm sure this has happened - corrupted samples aftr saving

one more little thing that is frustrating....

had some loops saved on the flash card as samples in a percussion program. did a bunch of editing and saving last night, but not on these loops.. turn the mpc on this morning and those same loops ( that i didn't touch) have a big, ugly nasty distorted crunch right in the middle. no biggie, bit it a bummer, and the noise is HARSH !!!

btw... i never save entire memory, usually all sequences and programs seperately, fwiiw.......

Experienced this for the first time a week ago or so. Loaded a project and a snare sample with dirty applause sounds in the tail (intended, sorta falling in a great way) had this really strange artefact in the end of it. Sorta sticky whipping sound, like the Alien facehugger going on waving all over the place.
The problem remained as I reloaded the project, luckily I had the original sample saved in another folder so it could be replaced.
