Try formating the drive but make sure you back up to the mac first.

Just curious...but why do you shuttle files all day every day to & from your Mac?

sample -> usb 2 mac, open in bias peak, edit, process, twist sounds any way my heart desires...then export -> usb back to MPC.

+ backing up all modified files on a daily basis is imperative. I don't trust OS 1.1 ....NO ONE SHOULD........just yet.

Lost any work lately?

Yeah it happens to me too, even with a safe removal.

Not every time but most of the time, it's annoying.

If you are doing all your processing/editing with bias..as long as you save your samples on your Mac, you are covered.

Personally, I don't move samples back and forth. I don't trust most USB devices. I only use the MPCs USB port to back-up the MPCs hard drive. The rare times I move samples back and forth between MPC and PC, I use the flash card drive..or CD-R/DVD-Rs......
