MPD-24 ?!

I'm looking to get $950 without the 8 output board and $1100 with it (it's a modified S2000 8 outs that I got off ebay, but it will work in the MPC). It's a 2000XL with iomega external storage device, 8 Zip disks (100/250mb) and shipping isn't included, that's all in Canadian currency, so it's closer to 810/940 US, I'm open to offers though.

i tried the trigger finger a couple of weeks ago...damn, it sucked. it didn't give the good feelin at all.
maybe i'll buy this when i start considering making beats with cubase.

The MPD 16 sucked. The pads were absolute crap and the trigger finger while not an MPC, had pads that are much better than the MPD 16. If the MPD 24 is just a rehashing of the "mpc style" pads of the MPD 16 than the thing is a major rip off.

IF the pads are the equivalent of the the mpc though than this thing is a major winner and I'll have to seriously think about replacing my trigger finger with the MPD 24.

just replace those lame ass pads with original greys and you'll love the shit... after all its got exactly the same parts as mpc so its all love

it looks huge...a bit to big for me as a midi controller...almost too wide and look like a mpc...but not....

It looks about the size of an MPC1000. That's not huge.
If it MPC2500 pads plus the space of two knobs, that's the size of a 2500 without all the stuff left of the pads.

It looks like a good size to me, best looking one yet in my opinion (out of the korg, mpd 16 and trigger finger) Now I just need to decide if I should get the MPD 24 and a midi keyboard or just go for the Axiom 61 and save some cash.

This thing looks hot. Seperate MIDI channels per pad?? I hope that feature makes it to an MPC one day...

The MPD 24 looks much bigger than I thought.

wouldnt count on it. The way the mp sequencer is set up makes that a no go (1 midi channel per track). you would have to have real time record for each track assigned to each pad simultaneously...

not like it couldn't be done, but . . .
