fvck! I want that sh!t now. I think I'm just going to use a DAW setup to make beats, I started on a pc anyway. A MPD24, Keystation Pro 88 and a DAW and I'm good. The ONLY thing I dont like is how small the transport buttons are, but its all good :D

wouldnt count on it. The way the mp sequencer is set up makes that a no go (1 midi channel per track). you would have to have real time record for each track assigned to each pad simultaneously...

not like it couldn't be done, but . . .

Anything is possible. The MPC 3000 has the abilty to assign 2 MIDI channels per track if I remember correctly.

I can see my MPC now.....MIDI channel select....A..B..C..D...or AB..CD...and ALL. Then...in the Program Menu/Note Menu section...you hit a particular pad..the WINDOW key will light up..so you can select the MIDI channel and/or note for each pad

I am added this feature to my feature request for the 2500 :D

Looks good and for $199 seems like a decent price. An mpd16 would suffice, but all the extras sliders etc. on the mpd24 have sold me.

Battery 2 is great...even Battery 1 is tight. But you will still need a sequencer....

I'm still here in Japan...nothing's changed much. Summer time, and short skirt season is in full effect. :D

No sign of the Mpd or the Korg units yet at my local music shops though...I want to try them both out before I decide...
