2500 w/ hdd makes windows crash

Hello everybody. I'm trying to get my MPC2500 to mount to my windows PC, but everytime I connect the usb cable, there's the device noise but the HD in my MPC will not show up as a removable disk or anything. I press "mount" on the MPC and then the computer will lock up and I have to hard reset it to get it back in order.

is this all OSv1.1's doing...?

Not sure you can point this to 1.1. Never had this problem myself so i'm afraid i cant help.

Did you format the hard rive in the MPC first?

it's really weird... I'm going to try it out at my friend's house now, and see if it's my computer that's acting up. I really wouldn't be surprised...

I'd update your PC's BIOS to the latest revision, then do a Windows Update.

If you installed your USB connections seperatley (ie they didn't come pre installed in the computer) you want to check that they have the latest software installed.
