it doesn't matter what OS you are running on your computer. you are not installing 2.1 on there. all you need to do is make sure you can connect to your mpc via USB or if you have an internal CF card reader on your computer, then you're good. just make sure when you do download the os from akai's website, you have to unzip it and put the file that's in the zip on your CF card. do not put the whole .zip file on there. then bring the card over to the mpc and follow the directions that akai provides on upgrading the OS.
