no.

your issue is most likely polyphony.

are yoou using a lot of stereo drum samples? try muting different drum tracks while you're playing your sequence and tell me if your sample cuts off.

nym is right,so try this also, go into program on the stero drum samples and try mono in voice overlap ,not mono in play! just try to elimanate som poly. 8) I use alot of stereo sounds and sometimes I go through this and jus turn som samples to mono instead of leaving all samples stereo. 8) 8)

Pay close attention to how it sounds as the samples may not play out properly if you set program or pads in mono mode. Might sound mechanical, stuttering and gated.

Ask yourself if you really need drums sampled in stereo, test to have them mono and see if they don´t sound as good (or better). Changing the actual samples from stereo to mono is not done in program mode, can´t just flip a parameter and the sample is suddenly in mono.
You can edit the sample in your computer and drop a channel there (be sure to export to a mono file) or use Trim mode in the MPC. Slice it up in two parts, make the end part a few samples long and throw that away, the first slice is noow mono and should, according to the manual, only contain the left channel.

Technically you have to edit the sample to one channel for a mono sound, but you can trick a stero sound into sounding mono,by playing with the parameter tools, just like you can use midi delay to emulate effects, echos by shifting midi notes. just experiment with parameters, filters.you'll find that the MPC is vst. 8)

Just so you know the voice overlap mono/poly thing does not make a sample stereo or mono. What is affects is if you have multiple triggers on a pad Mono means the pad will only play one voice of the sound at a time, so if you hit a pad and then hit it again the second note will cancel the first one. Poly means it can play multiple voices of the same sample, in other words they will cascade on top of each other so each instance rings out.

The PLAY setting lets you globaly set the program to MONO. If you set PLAY to POLY then you can use the induvidual pad settings (mono/poly) to determine the setting. If you set PLAY to MONO then the pad settings don't have any effect.

Check out the manual pages 73,74 if you need clarification.
