how to remove the slider

I want to open my mpc but I have to remove the slider NV first !

how I do that... ??

I don't think you need to remove it, just pull the knob off the metal piece.

perhaps opening up an mpc is not the first thing you should consider..

I depends what you want to verify inside your MPC. If you want to have a look at the 8-out board or your memory or drive conections, then you don't have to remove the faceplate but the bottom plate. For that you don't have to remove the NV slider knob. Make sure you place the MPC on a big pillow when you remove the bottom plate to make sure you don't break any of the buttons or the data wheel. An touch some earthed metal or a radiator b4 touching the insides of your MPC. Static electricty is a killer for electronics.

These guys are all correct. What are you trying to do? I photo'd my MPC when I took it apart and here's the picture:

just pull off the top to the slider, cause its not molded on or anything, then take the screws out the back and sides.

i just want have a look on my 8 outs connections because my outs #1,2,3,7 and 8 dont work. So I have to remove which parts ?

If you have the XL remove all screws on the bottom.

If you have the 2k have fun removing all those damn screws and shit.

3 in back
4 on side
3 on bottom lip(where floppy is)
3 once floppy bottom lip is removed
4 on the side once front case is removed
Then remove the controller board(knobs, buttons, ect. is)

I believe i mentioned all da screws.

theres also 2 hidden in the main top board
manual shows all this

Well yes and no, you mentioned to remove the controller board.
But specifically, there are 2 screws holding it, not 1 , not 8 etc.

ok so if i want to check my 8 outs connections...I open the bottom or the top of my mpc ??
