Need Help hooking Up MIDI to Sequence in pro tools LE 7

Needed some help trying to hook up the MPC 1000 to do my sequencing in pro tools. I have saved a sequence I did on the mpc and I exported it as a MID. file into pro tools. I just need some help configuring the midi in/out to my midi interface. What do I connect where? What do I set the midi/sync on the MPC to? I read the manual and I didn't see any instructions for connecting the MPC 1000 to a sequencer software such as pro tools. I did a search and I didn't get nothing either. If anybody had time to help me out I'd appreciate it. I'm going to try and figure it out in the mean time thanks y'all.

look i in the manual for protools, it shouldn't be that hard though.. just connect the mpc to the midi in of ur computer and the midi out of pc to the midi in of the mpc.
Then simply select the midi port the mpc is on ur soundcard. I work with nuendo so i can't help u any further. good luck

I figured it out turns out I had everything wired correctly the MIDI interface I was using doesnt have beat clock. So thats whay I wasnt getting any sound.
