It should be able to work, it scsi and with the proper cable to te classic, i would say yes, nevertheless, you cant save in folders in the 2000, i would give it try, i got a good feeling about that 1, its external, i hope that helps.

but from what i read a while ago, not all readers are compatible. there's only certain types that the mpc will recognize.....i would try it though. 10 bucks aint nuttin

I didnt think those external drives worked wit the mpc...
