File formats??

Ok cool the sarcasm please.

Im thinking of getting MPC1000, what file formats can you load into them?

i use re-cycle to chops buts, do you then have to create all the individual parts into individual wva's before the MPC will recognise them?

Next question of topic: when you create a song the MPC has its own file format or can you export the songs as midi file and load them into a computer sequencer.

It uses .Wav and .Snd files, and yes you can save sequences to .mid and load them into the computer.

OK then, so do any of you use the MP as a midi trigger?

Basically if i had the money NOW!!! i would be sat here figuring it out myself, but as i dont a this exact momment in time im asking questions in preparation.

I want to use it to program drums on manily, but am aware of the plentiful tricks it can do, which is why i am saving hard.

And dont anyone say get a MP16 or 24 trigger finger what ja ma call it as i have demoed both and found both to be **** for the money.

Yeah, I use my MPC to trigger a Roland TR-626 drum machine and the drums in my Yamaha DX200 so I have more control over the velocity. It's defintely much better this way. Plus The MPC1000 is used as my main sequencer for all my hardware synths and occasionally software as well. I've been through software sequencers like Cakewalk and Cubase, but I really don't like using a computer monitor and a mouse for long periods of time.
