Wassup y'all? Im a currently FL6 user but im looking to go hardware and pick up a 1000. problem is software still seams more cost effective but i still think ill pick up an mpc just because i love the workflow. anyway...i was reading the manual and the specs and i dont see anything about an echo effect. does the 1k support it? or is it included in the new OS.

also what's the "flying pan" effect do?

Im about to roll down to the guitar center and check out the 1k in person but has anyone here actually made the switch im about to do? my bad if that question has been asked a grip already.

you are gonna loose some of the option in FL when you go down to a MPC. I did but I have never looked back to using software. Just one of the trade offs.

[quote="respect_mbs"]about an echo effect. quote]

echo = delay for MPC1k i think. 1k is fine for basic fx, although it doesn't make it so straightforward to save the settings (search the forum for details). If you want tons of effects you can reprocess externally in software or get an fx box.
