Newbie needs help: with auto tune on mpc 2000

I just pick up a used mpc 2000 and it didnt come with a manual. I pretty much figured it out exect for this one thing that the 2000xl manual that I downloaded does not cover. I want to play a baseline with my midi controller. How do you do the auto chromatic on the 2000? The manual says to hit drum under program but its not there on the 2000... help

the only way to set up the pads to be autochromatic is to do it manually from the PROGRAM screen. You have to set the note number for each pad.

this will not allow you to spread any sample across your keyboard but will setup your PADS only.

There is no auto chromatic assign on the 2000(non xl)

I started doing that but I thought there must be an easier way. Thanks for the help. I just got to get the xl.
