i have a quick question that i have been battling for a little bit now and can't seem to come up with an answer ( yes, i have searched and read the manual from front to back ). my question is this. are you able to use more than 2 effects on the mpc 1000? example..... say I have FX1 set to compression and FX2 set to revereb. now, say i have my compression settings set to what i wanna use for my kick drum, but i also want to use compression with different settings for lets say a snare for example. Then I have reverb set to my piano sample but then i want to use the bit crunch on a cymbal. can you do this? i mean, can you use more than 2 effects?

thanks

only by resampling thats my biggest complaint about the mpc1000 as well. i would of loved to see more time spent on effects like dare i say roland lol.

only 2 at a time.

resampling from external machines is your best bet for effects - or simply waiting for when you track out your stuff.

the mpc is not an effects box. i never touch the effects on the 1k. if i must use effects in the making of songs (ie i can't just make a note of what i'd like effected for when i track out) i simply resample it into the sp404 and then back into the mpc.

try to put off effects for later, if at all possible.

actually you can create up to 20 effect groups by setting your chosen effect on FX2 and remnaming it , select FX send 2 for that particular pad going to step edit and inserting an effect to that track/ note( but youmust choose FX2 and send 2).sounds like a lot of trouble but it's easy and it works every time 4 me.

Now if they only applied the Effects Set feature to the Mixer, I wouldn't have to manually set each pad when I switch between using the main outs and individual outs.
