when you select this does it do it internally or do i physically have to have the main outs patched into the record inputs ..... manual dosnt say just says record the main outs so thats why im asking?

damn for anyone like me who dint know this was availiable this is a great feature i never did it because i dint want to have to mess with the cabling i have already run into my motu 896hd which is mounted and in a rack so to move stuff i would have had to do alot of work but this is fantastic. Im really just congraulating myself for finding sshit that everyone already knew lol some one erase this........... :oops:

Altho if you think about it if you had to do the cabling why would they have the option in the first place? Because you could just select sample "analog in" and then do the cabling and it would effectivly do the sample the main output (or any of the outputs you had wired). Whole reason the option is in there in first place is so you don't have to do that.

Its still debatable if it takes it digitaly or analog though. Ikno won the old CD3000 it was an analog connection from the CD player to the inputs even though you would think they could do it digital.

Yeah i just wasnt sure because it dint read any levels when i tried it before so i was under the assumption no levels meant no sound. I mainly do audio recording and production so if it dosnt have a wire it dosnt get recorded around here lol.

also if it does do it in the digital realm why is there no resample buttom to use with samples yet? Maybe thats been answered i will have to look around as well.
