I've read some posts about the "new folder bug".. I thought it wouldn't happen to me.. But now it's happened twice in two days!
I made a beat wanted to save it on my hd in a new folder. As soon as i've set the name and push "enter" my mpc FREEZES!! only way to get it to work is to turn it on/off..

I've lost two beats already, i save on my cf card now..
Anyone has the same problem???

No, the other posts you read on the "new folder bug" was on a totally different problem.

Yes, I had exactly what you describe happen. I had worked for a good hour on a track with some friends went to save it and my MPC crashed when I tried to create a new folder!!

I think this is an OS bug, I never had this happen before I installed 2.10.

I hope AKAI is fast with the bug fixes as the amount of bugs and problems is a little rediculous.

New folder bug got me! Had to reformat the whole hard drive. I only lost a couple of beats due to file corruption (by what I don't know), but I'm gonna take Ant's advice and create folders before my sessions.

Backup....that's the lesson learned

yeah i suggest having a bunch of empty unnamed folders floating around for saved songs. renaming doesn't seem to have a bug to it, so you can just rename after saving.

rock on
