using midi keyboard

I did a search for this but couldnt seem to find any info, its probably there somewhere, anyway if any one can help me or steer me to the right place I would appreciate it. My question is can I use a keyboard with my mpc200xl? If so can I then load sounds across the keyboard without the pitch bending that happens when I spread a sound across the pads?

This has already been asked and answered. The answers are in your manual. But if you use the 16 levels does that mean it will be all over your keys? The answer is no. You have to use AutoChromatic to do that. And with the XL u are limited to 4 programs at a time. I mean im not even goin to keep goin into details. Why? B/c then u will continue to ask more questions. And why will u ask more questions? Because u will spend all your time on here instead of reading the Manual. Now ask yourself this question. Why did they make a manual?

Firstly Id like to say thanks to those who offer kind help regardless of how dumb or amateurish they may or may not regard the question to be ie. most people. Secondly Id like to say I figured that this website was for likeminded people to discuss relevant topics but seems every time anyone asks a question round here they get a sh*tty attitude from certain members eg-mnh2410. I know there is information out there either in the manual or on this site but sometimes people just need a little assistance in finding it. I mean if you feel its below you to help someone without trying to make them feel inferior or inadequate you are better off not saying anything at all really. I rarely come to this site anymore because of this crappy attitude. Wouldnt it be nice if as fellow musicians we could all get along and give each other a hand up instead of dumping on each other?

Wasn't trying to be rude...I just couldn't help but see the humor in the question...To better answer the question - of course you can use a MIDI keyboard with your MPC. That is exactly what the sequencer in your MPC is designed for. Just a little experimentation with the MIDI I/O on your gear will give you more help than all of us on this forum combined....Don't be afraid to roll up your sleves and get involved with your gear. You're going to need the experience as you advance your skills.....and you'll need to be a little less sensitive on these forums or your feelings will always be hurting.....we're the nice guys. Some folks on here will have taken the art of "flaming" to new highs.... Peace
