Do you need a DJ mixer to play records at there best possible quality?
I have a YAMAHA MG 10/2 running as my mixer. I have the turntable running from the mixer into the receiver. But the sound quality is sh*t. I have to put the gain switch all the way up and both volumes(channel & main) to the max. If I put it to normal settings, I can't really hear much. What am I doing wrong. Here is what I tried so far.
Used rca cables from the tables to the receiver.
Also used rca adapters to go from the table(out) to 1/4 cable in to mixer.
I tried other things on the channel and they work fine. eg. mpc1k and guitar. Do I need a dj mixer? please help, its pissing me off.
