I'm poor okay but I want to get into making some music. My friends is getting a mac with an mbox 2 with protools. He plays guitar and he has a Roland jv-5050 synth. I want to get together with him and make drums for him, add a little hip hop flavor but do something different. He likes folk music and radiohead, and I'm like hip hop so it should be fun. I want something to bang out drums on and do some sampling on. I don't really want to get a trigger finger or someting because I need hardware so I can work on stuff at my house. I was thinking that an ASR-X would be my best bet. But I heard they are buggy and the sequencer sucks. But heres the thing: what if I only put long samples on the asr and then put my drums on the s900 with midi and just use those 2 pieces of gear. am I going to have lots of problems?
