LFO Question (I know..)

Can anyone tell me if its possible to implement the LFOs in the following way:

Say I have a 2 Bar sequence with a drum sound triggering 16 times, I want to be able to set a wave to modulate the filter gradually over a period of time.

At the moment the LFO seems to be re-triggering every hit, so if it's a short sound I'm not hearing its effect with the LFO on a slow setting. - The Random wave does what I would expect but I'm not having much joy with the other waves...am I missing something?

To clarify,

•on the fast settings (closest to 0) it mangles the sample as I would expect

•if I use a long sample eg a sustained string sound, I can modulate the pitch or filter over a long period of time

•but can I modulate a series of short one shot samples smoothly over long periods?

At the moment I'm using the Q-link to achieve this but think the LFO *must* be able to do this...I understand the concept of LFO's from my synths, but these ones seem a bit random (no pun)

I've seen the creative use of LFOs thread but thought I'd start another one dedicated to this 'issue'

I know what you mean, i would like to do the same but it's not possible.
The LFO are not free running - they reset every time you play the sound.

best way to do what you want is qlink w/ note on...if the samples are really really short. this is what i used to do w/ 1.07
