circular style scratches by the data entry on an mpc60?

hey, anyone else notice this? it seems that a lot of 60s have circular style scratches, like 4 circles scratched from the paint around the data entry knob. why would they come in circles instead of just being a circle around the data entry knob fully encompassin it....

hmm.........actually i odn't know if other mpcs got it, it's just strange that both mpc60s i got have the same exact style scratches right theree.

if it's rings why does it come out in little circles not one circle around the wheel? and why on all sides...:x

mounting pegs under the metal cover. my 3k is starting to wear out the same way.
