Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

hey what's up I was using my computer to transfer files from hard drive
to zip to load in my mpc 2000xl it worked for a minute .The next time I tried to transfer files and put the zip in the usb zip. My computer would freeze and if I put that same disk back
in my mpc it woud say read error or wrong disk? I wound up throwing away
6 brand new zip disk because neither machine could read them. I have windows x-p as the operating system. Is there a way to fix the zip disks? I have like four more that has the same problem ?

I hope at the very least that you tried reformatting the disks in both the PC and the MPC! If not what a waste $$.

Yeah I did try to reformat them, but neither my p.c nor the mpc would alllow me to format them. Has anyone else managed to save a zip disk ? I know that somebody has to be using their compter to transfer files back and forth from p.c to mpc without losing zip disk .

this one again. .

have

1 mpc formated disk. for saving sounds from the mpc only. will not be read in win xp unless u have a "fat32 partition on c:" and do that crashy freeze thing it goes on with.

1 PC formated disk. for tranferring wav's and what ever else to youre mpc, can be read in both windows and mpc. try not to write to it from the mpc, as it will most likely lead to curruption.[/b]

ohh and makes sure you have the right size capacity disks for your drives. took me an hour or two to relise i was using a 250mb disk in a 100mb drive.
