hey people,
i got this problem on my mp that i cant work out?
basically when i go to sample something from my mixer to my mpc theres this really bad distortion! it was fine before!.i messed about with the wires and found out that it is the left record in making all the noise,as soon as something is plugged in there and i go to sample it sounds really bad!

could it be the record in jack has gone?
i dont know?
if any could help us out it would be much appreciated, cheers
i got the dope beats of london all by the 1 and only

I'm gettin da same thing on my MPC2000...

As soon as I enter the Record screen followed by the Mixer or Program menu the distortion sound starts, it's LOUD! and the bastard doesnt stop till the mpc is re-booted.

I will do some investigations and try & figuee out what could be causing this. A lot of users with mpc200 and 2000xl have had this issue.

Peace.

On the MPC screen on the top right corner when you go into the sample screen turn the monitor to "off".

Normally what I do is mute the channel on my mixer that I'm sampling from before i go into the sample screen. Then I can turn the monitor to "off" without geting the feedback. I only use the monitor "on" when I'm not sampling from the same mixer that the MPC's outs are connected to.

Hope that helps.

Same problem here. Exactly the same! MPC2000

I just removed the 8 output board and installed a new set of ram & that noise has now gone but dont have 8 outs which I badly need for serious mix downs :(

I am still running a few tests and will keep you informed, it seems like a hardware issue IMO.
