Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

Let's say I've made a 4-bar loop with about 4 tracks. while the sequence is playing, I can mute the tracks in the main screen, or hit the solo button to hear just one track. My question is, how do I transfer my edited sequences to a new sequence slot when making a song? Do I have to make a whole new sequence altogether if I just want the bassline solo, or is there a more convenient way? I know the answer is in the manual, but guess what..it's not really making much sense to me. I believe the answer is in sequence edit, but I'm not sure exactly how to go about it. Remember I'd like to have some sequences with some tracks muted, other sequences where tracks are solo'd (i.e. basslines). Ultimately, I'd like to take the edited and original sequences and piece them together in song mode and record them so that I can transfer to my computer and burn onto CD. Somebody please break it down for me in Sesame Street Terms. Thanks....PEACE!!!

am not sure about it! but press solo and copy the whole seq! the new seq should just play one track! whilst the others should be muted! but i know there is a better way! em always to lazy to check out these things too! so i just take the time copy the seq and cancel the tracks i don t want to play anymore in the new seq!
