Hi,

I have a problem with the new OS 2.1 for the MPC 1000. After I have installed the new OS, the MPC gives a "CPU address error" almost immediately after restarting (for example if I try to load a sample). After the error has occured it is not in any way possible to access the MPC again. Not even after restarting. He keeps giving the CPU address error directly at startup.

Has anybody heard about this problem before, because I looked for it on
forums, but nobody seems to have had this problem... I installed 1.07 again, but I hope you can help me because the new OS gives me a lot great new long awaited opportunities.

Thanks in advance!

MM.

If your MPC works with 1.0.7 i don't see why it should give the CPU error with 2.1
Try installing 2.1 again. Follow the instructions: http://www.akaipro.com/software/OS/MPC1 ... PC1000.txt
UNZIP the downloaded file from Akai. Make sure it's the only .bin file on your CF card (delete OS 1.0.7 from your card).

If you still get the CPU error try restarting while holding ERASE

Oke, I have tried all this. Even your tip of holding the erase button while starting. The CPU address error keeps coming back, in fact, after the error has occured once, the MPC won't even boot again. I'm desperate!!!
