can it be used with the 2000xl to save Programs and Sequences.

Also can i insert my own sample CD's with standard .WAV files from a Windows XP machine.

this i the offer at a UK store:

An external SCSI CD-ROM drive with an 8x read speed and a 50 pin SCSI-1 interface. Ideal for samplers and tested for proven compatibility with different models (just ask!). £69

CD ROM stands for Compact Disc Read Only Memory, meaning it's read only.. No, you cannot save to it..

Yes, you can LOAD all day long until your hearts content. Make sure you save you samples as 16bit wav, burnin cd - ISO9660, data. That should be it.

I've done this before with my 2kxl and have had no problems. I have an external SCSI Plextor CD-ROM.. Works beautifully..

I save to internal 250 Zip. I use both the SCSI CDROM and/or 250ZIP to load.

I think my SCSI CDROM is 8x I can't remember exactly, I'm at work right now.

The pins are 50 on each side of the cable I believe. The plugs are exactly the same on my MPC and the SCSI CDROM..
