Wave Form editing...why does it do this??

Is it just me or does the wave form editing seem confusing. I mean, between edits I often have to go from the tr/lp screen to the region screen to 0 out the start and end points in order to be able to go back to the trim screen to trim again. Reason is is the jog dial won't advance the numbers (edit point) at certain points of my tweaking.

Am I doing something wrong

The 2kxl was so dead simple I long for that format here...

If there is a procedure for triming a sample that I'm missing will someone clue me in....

On the other hand, if this is a problem others are having ..do say so.

I know it can be confusing because it was for me when I first tried to use it. but once you get use to how it works and where everything is it becomes second nature. just give it some time.

Ive always typed in the numbers to the location point I wantedto work from and used the JOG to make it more exact

It seems as if Akai brought us back to the 60 or 3000 days when sample editing was by sample addresses. It works, but I would prefer a MUCH better interface. Why cant you edit your sample like the 2000 series?
It would be nice if you could also edit samples with the assignable faders or knobs. or the jogwheel for that matter.
What's up with the smallbuttons around the cursor section. Wack.
I think the 2000 series had that down.
