i think that's probably too much to reasonably stretch something without weird artifacts. when i get those, i just cut em out.

I'm getting the same stuff anytime I apply stretch. This feature sucks big time... Even with small increments (say from 80 bpm to 78 BPM) the click at the end is less audible, but it's there. You have to trim the sample again after stretch, that's a fact.

Freezerman is right, also let me add this It's not all a problem if you have to trim your sample because of this click at the end of (timestretching) a sample. Every sample is different sometimes you have to trim sometimes you don't, just use the work around method? What ever makes it works. That's what makes the MPC such a Power House Machine. 8)

freezerman is right - i simply didn't notice the clicks because i always have mute groups which would have cut it off. interesting stuff.

i think timestretching definitely has its good moments, especially when stretching tiny bits of audio to fill a slightly larger one. i liike hearing an audibly timestretched small chop fit in with others, you can use that sound to interesting rhythmic effect.

I don't use time stretch on anything but i've noticed on the 2 software applications and on my mpc when messing around that it really doesn't matter much if you stretch it 4 bpm or 20, it seems to sound just as bad. Some programs sound worse than others but on any particular program i've found how far you do it makes way less of a difference than doing it in general. Manytimes it actually sounds worse on minor adjustments in my oppinion. I will use it sometimes on software, non sampled beats as more of an effect which can be cool, but it's really the effect, not any confivience issue. Especially on things you play to use delay with because it gives it a choppier feel.
